Learn the basics of good live, oral, performative storytelling. Learn how to shape a personal experience/memory into a compelling oral narrative and recall all its details without memorization. Learn what works when telling to an audience and what doesn't.
Using traditional folktales and our own personal tales we will explore the art of storytelling. Each participant shall come away with a tale to tell, whether for friends and family or on the stage at the next StoryOly event.

Storytelling Workshop
Everyone can learn to be a good storyteller. It is an important skill for many of life's professional and even our casual situations. In a 3 hour workshop students will learn a story to tell by heart afterwards. This workshop is an opportunity to learn public speaking skills that include use of gestures, timing, and stage pressence.
Elizabeth offers workshops geared toward adults as well as ones catered to youth.
Artist Residency
Elizabeth can come to your school or civic organization to conduct an intensive storytelling workshop, or teach theater arts, or direct a play, or ALL THREE COMBINED. Elizabeth works with the individual teachers to help determine the best use of her skills in the classroom.
Available for grades 3-12.
